Yikes, your skin's got enemies!

It's not just cosmetics that have an impact on the skin. There are numerous factors that contribute to the health of your skin. In this blog post, we will discuss four factors that can affect your skin's health.

1.DIET

The modern lifestyle calls for poor nutritional food. Oftentimes, our foods are full of refined sugar, additives, refined carbs, synthetic flavours, and colours. When you overeat the wrong type of food and not eat the right ones, it can lead to various types of skin disorders. For instance, acne can be related to a refined carb/ high sugar diet. So when you're not providing your body and skin with sufficient nutrients it will lead to sagging, poor skin tone, unbalanced complexion, and outbreaks of rashes and spots.

2. MAKE UP

Most makeup products are probably not going to be your skin's friends. Powders and foundations can clog your pores and result in rashes and spots. And when your skin is clogged, it doesn't function properly! But worry not, we get that you want to be wearing your favourite products, and so you definitely can but just make sure to take it off at the end of the day. Our Fresh Face Cleansing Oil was formulated with this in mind, apart from using it as a daily cleanser, it also works as an excellent makeup remover :) there, we always got your back! so do make sure NOT to go to bed WITHOUT cleansing and moisturizing because darling, your skin's not gonna be happy.

3. SMOKING

Apart from the fact that it can kill you, smoking also has other negative effects on your skin. It increases the production of an enzyme that breaks down collagen -- what holds skin together. And also destructs vitamins A and C which are crucial for your skin's health. It also constricts blood flow thereby restricting the delivery of nutrients to the skin. So if you're looking for a sign to quit smoking, here is it ;)

4. LACK OF EXERCISE

Thought it's worthwhile to mention exercise in our sedentary lifestyles. Exercise, as we know, is important for your overall health, which also includes your skin. The way it helps, in this case, is by delivering nutrients to the skin by increasing blood flow.  And small steps is all you need to take, any exercise that increases heart rate will be beneficial to the skin.
